What We're Up To

Invitation to heal the world

Welcome to HumanKind Media, the little blog about healing the world, where citizen journalism and social entrepreneurship meet the power of global media.

This is the first time in history we've had so much control over the kind of news and storytelling that flows through our lives. At HumanKind, we think the type of media a person chooses to read or watch can change the life story of an individual, a family, a community, a culture, and a world.

Our mission is to help create what we call a 5 percent  New! 10 percent shift -- a 5 shift away from media about heartbreak, violence, gossip, and despair, and a 10 percent shift toward media about possibility and healing. The kind of media that helps turn longing into action.

At HumanKind Media, we're sharing all the eye-opening, entertaining, heart-warming, and inspiring stories out there about humans, kind ones like you, who decide to get in touch with that longing they feel to make a difference in the world. They begin by taking one small step and end up doing something great for humankind. We believe that sharing more narratives like this will inspire more small steps, and more, until together we've quite literally healed the world.

We're Chris and Liz, only two of the zillions of people on this planet who are all in their own ways contributing to the possibility of healing the world. We're telling their stories here -- the HumanKind kind of stories, stories that inspire more just like them. It's already working.

Join us. Make us part of your own 5 percent media shift, e-mail us about people and organizations that inspire you, and let us know how you're making your own unique contribution to healing the world. Let's see what's possible.
