Are you procrastinating or just looking for something cool to read?
Hey, Liz and I have done Nano-Wrimo a few times, and we're really proud of you already, regardless of how many words you've written and no matter what problems your plot or your characters are giving you right now. Thanks for stopping in to check out HumanKind Media. Here's what we're up to. If you like the idea of using media to influence what we humans tell ourselves is possible, we hope you'll subscribe and keep checking us out once in a while.
Here's a great time-waster in the meantime: FreeRice.com. It's a word game -- for every vocab word you get right, the organization donates 10 grains of rice to the United Nations. It's addicting. Plus you get all kinds of great new words (and their synonyms!) for your novel.
So, if you or someone you know is doing something cool in the world to end a particular kind of human suffering, we'd love an essay, a blog, or a link from you. We know you writers have lots of good stories, and if you think they're not getting heard, let us know. We don't want to distract you right now from noveling, of course, but hey -- maybe you could write a couple of paragraphs about someone real who's doing something cool and pop it into your novel. Fictionalized, of course! You can contact Chris or Liz [at] humankindmedia.com if you'd like to discuss this.
Also, next time your feel the urge to procrastinate, come back anytime, and, please, forward our link to some friends to help us pass this on.
Thanks for reading and happy noveling.
